Small Grants

Our Small Grants support community-led projects that enhance the local environment, build civic pride, and bring people together. Grants of £500–£3,000 are available to support environmental improvement projects that make a positive difference in the wider community. 

Small Grants 2026-27 is currently closed for applications.

The scheme supports community groups, schools, not-for-profit organisations, and unconstituted groups to deliver projects that aim to:

• Increase civic pride and enhance the quality of local green spaces
• Transform underused areas into vibrant, valued community spaces
• Improve community health and wellbeing through the enhancement of public spaces
• Promote environmentally focused actions and boost local biodiversity

Thanks to the continued support of 10 local councils, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, and Belfast Harbour, we were delighted to award funding to 102 community groups across Northern Ireland through the 2025–26 Scheme — helping to green, clean, and revitalise local spaces for everyone to enjoy.
